Chance took his first independent steps on April 15th, 2005, so this is just 2 weeks later and he's walking across a room. Simply amazing and simply through prayer! This was a special time for us.

Chance seemed so enthralled by all the people, but he did smile a few times so I think he had fun. Ms. Cheryl is one of our pastor's wives and she LOVES Chance. The feeling is mutual. He adores her too!

The only thing that Chance is able to say verbally is "MaMa"! Thank you God for giving me at least that! Here's video of him saying "MaMa". This was probably the first week he started doing it. Before that, he said nothing.

Chance is in the back row in front of his classroom aid. What I love about this is that Chance is participating with his peers and doing the hand motions at the right time just like everyone else. He may not sing along verbally, but he certainly knows how to participate! So awesome.

I get such a kick out of this. I call him my little chicken when he runs. I am so proud of how far he has come in the last two years!

It was wonderful to see the video of your little guy. I am grandmother to Taven a three year old boy who while he does not have clinical diagnosis of AS does have all the characteristics and so we feel that is most likely what he has. It was great to see your little guy and the enjoyment he gets from life. It helps a lot as we struggle to help and understand TAven.
I am a grandmother to a three year old boy named Taven. We do not have a definite diagnosis but the doctor feels it is likely he has AS. He certainly appears to have all of the characteristics. He is a loving little boy. It was wonderful to see the video of your cute little Evan and to see the obvious love of all of you. It helps us to other children and recognize that the world is a good place for him.
Thank you for your videos - they are wonderful. My son is 15 months and he was diagnosed with AS on Thursday. I am having a rough time, but this was encouraging. Thank you!
Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
